A Unique & Functional Home

The Summer 2022 issue of California Home Design Magazine featured our Beverly Hills Residence. This project is special to us for many reasons, but notably due to its art-driven clients and our lively and expressive collaboration.

With floor-to-ceiling windows that frame picture-perfect views of the Hollywood Hills, this 4,000-square-foot condo, located in one of L.A.’s preeminent luxury buildings, demanded an equally breathtaking interior.

We wanted to share our journey in achieving this unique and functional home:

Creative Kitchen Features

We loved working on this kitchen! With an emphasis on color, functionality, and lighting, we created a bright and lively atmosphere. To elevate the room, we paired unique pendants by Apparatus Lighting with the Farrow & Ball Paint: Dead Salmon No. 28.

Francois Collective’s Hans bar stools, covered in Lori Weitzner’s Speakeasy in Bone faux-leather fabric, complemented the kitchen with both beauty and functionality.

Luxe Furniture

One reason this project is unique is the choice of furniture, wallcoverings and fabric. We played with diverse textures and tones to balance the rooms together in an expressive way.

A mixture of artisanal furnishings complements the interior. Clustered around the Robert Kuo dining table are chairs and a custom bench from Kimberly Denman. The Joseph Pagano lights were found at Una Malan.

Spa Inspired Bathroom

We love the way this home teleports you to a different place. A chic stool from Reweave displays bright contrast to the dark stone, lending a luxurious feel.

Art-Inspired Living Room

The living room truly captured the creative and modern style of the home. Highlighted by artwork and inspiring views, each detail in this living room was personality-driven.

Equally important was showcasing the clients’ formidable art collection.

The key is to choose furnishings that compliment the art while still having a comfortable environment for everyday life.

Magazine Feature

I really feel it’s very important for design to be client-and architecture-driven and then my job, as the designer, is to elevate and educate…I was really blessed that my clients have a terrific eye for artisanal furnishings and wanted their home to be warm and feel collected, not designed.
